Does this windscreen flap about? How is the bottom secured?
Answer: No, it
does not flap about. There are straps securing the windscreen to the
floorboard. With the windscreen attached on the bottom and top, the
windscreen is very secure. On the VW Cabriolet, upon the floorboard, there
are metal rods on which the seat belt slides upon. The windscreen has
adjustable straps on the bottom, which secure onto these rods.
Question: What is the main purpose of a
windscreen?
Answer: Deflect turbulence in the cockpit while
driving with the top down and provide a pleasant ride, especially above 40 MPH.
Question: Can I put the top up, with this
windscreen in place?
Answer: Yes, you can.
Question: Does this windscreen require any
permanent alterations?
Answer: No, it does not.
Question: Can rear seat passengers access the
rear?
Answer: Yes, rear seat passengers are not inhibited
with this windscreen in place.
Question: How much wind does your windscreen
block?
Answer: A lot, but not all. Do not expect the
windscreen to mimic driving with the top up. Instead, the ride is much
softer and enjoyable. You can take a three hour drive with the top down
comfortably.
