Frequently Asked Questions
What does this windscreen do?
The windscreen prevents backwash and windy turbulence from
forming in the cockpit of your car, providing a much more comfortable ride with
the top down.
How does the windscreen work?
The windscreen interrupts air flow. When driving
with the top down, a low pressure forms in the cockpit, and high air
pressure outside. Like water, the air pressure equalizes by moving
from back, to front. If you watch people driving with the
top-down, without a windscreen in place, you'll notice their hair
actually blows forward, not backward.
Are permanent alterations required?
No. These windscreens are very easy to install and take
off.
How is this windscreen different from the dealer?
At least in two major ways. First, the dealer's
windscreen is typically a mesh windscreen around a tubular frame. The mesh
material is lightweight, easy to tear if accidentally gouged. The mesh
also has a tighter weave, inhibiting rear vision. Second, is cost.
The dealer's windscreen costs around $300-$400.
Does this windscreen obscure vision?
No, it does not. This allows you to see clearly at dusk
and other low light conditions.
Does this windscreen inhibit seat movement?
No, it does not. You can move the seat around
with full range of positions.
Does the windscreen move or rattle about?
No, it does not. The windscreen remaining tightly in
place.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, we can. Let us know where you want your windscreen
to be sent to!
